The Building Maintenance Worker position is a part-time non-supervisory union position. The employee will perform manual tasks in the maintenance, construction and repair of Borough facilities and some seasonal outdoor work (mowing, snow removal).
Assignments are supervised and outlined by the public Works Director who will delegate duties and inspect the progress of work completed. Employees are expected to exercise judgment in safety, task preparation and customer service.
Minimum Qualifications: • Minimum Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalency. • Must possess a valid PA driver’s license, be able to drive, and must have an insurable driving record. • Basic knowledge of related construction, electrical and mechanical systems. • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Rate of Pay: $11.56 per hour
Shift: Monday through Friday
Hours: Part-time hours as assigned by supervisor
