Indiana Borough Public Safety Committee has rescheduled the meeting on November 21st, 2019.

The rescheduled meeting will be held on November 20th, 2019 at 7:00pm in Council Chambers of the Borough Building, 80 N. 8th Street, Indiana PA 15701.

Public Works will be continuing smoke testing of sewer mains and laterals Wednesday and Thursday (11/6 & 11/7) from 8AM to 2PM. As weather conditions must be dry, testing may be postponed if it is raining or the ground is sufficiently wet.

Borough Trick-or-Treat will take place tonight – Thursday, October 31st, from 6-8PM. Participating residents are asked to leave their outdoor lights on to signal whether or not they are handing out candy.

April 1st, 2020 - Census Day - is only 155 days away.

To get a complete and accurate count of everyone in Indiana County, the United States Census Bureau will be hiring hundreds of temporary employees. Census jobs will begin in the Spring of 2020 and offer weekly pay at $13.50/hr and flexible hours.

Public Works will begin pickup of leaves raked to the curb today.

Collection will be done by Ward and take place every weekday (weather permitting) until 11/27/2019. The order will move in a clockwise direction, beginning with the Fourth Ward. The schedule will be as follows:

Fourth Ward → First Ward → Second Ward → Third Ward

Please only put leaves in the pile. Sticks and garden refuse will clog the leaf machine.
