Wind Chill Warning until February 1st, 2019

The NWS has issued a Wind Chill Warning for Indiana County, which will remain in effect until 7:00am on Friday. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph and wind chills as low as -25 are possible. Exposure to extremely cold weather can result in frostbite in less than a half hour. Please be prepared when going outside – and don’t forget about your pets!

We also urge our residents to use caution when traveling, as roads and sidewalks may be icy.

Public Works is out currently applying anti-skid to roadways to help provide vehicles with better traction. Utilizing any off-street parking will assist Public Works in providing safe roadways. All Borough offices will remain open during regular hours today as well.

Be smart, be safe, and stay warm everyone.
