Indiana Borough Council will consider approval of the 2026 Fee Resolution, which includes an adjustment to the Borough’s residential recycling fee. If approved, the monthly recycling fee will increase from $1.00 to $3.00, effective May 1, 2026.
This adjustment reflects recent investments (new satellite recycling bin) and changing market conditions impacting recycling operations. Revenues from recyclable materials have declined, increasing the cost required to sustain and improve the program. To expand recycling access and convenience for residents, the Borough is adding a new cardboard drop-off container to be located at the Borough Building (anticipated delivery April 2026).
