Member of Council Appointed to Pennsylvania Historic Preservation Board

Ben Ford, who serves as a representative for the 2nd Ward on Borough Council, was recently appointed to the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission Historic Preservation Board.

The 15-member Board advises the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) on historic preservation policy in the Commonwealth. The Board also reviews all proposed nominations from Pennsylvania to the National Register of Historic Places.

Board members are appointed by PHMC with the approval of the Governor’s Office. Their collective knowledge and expertise help shape the PHMC’s understanding of what places in Pennsylvania are historically significant and should be kept for future generations.

Congratulations, Ben Ford!
