Public Hearing to be held on 12/1 via teleconference at 11:00 AM
Notice is hereby given by Indiana County that it will conduct a virtual public hearing on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 11:00 AM via ZOOM conference. The public hearing is to discuss proposed contract modifications for Indiana County’s 2016 and 2017 Community Development Block Grant contracts on behalf of Indiana Borough. The virtual public hearing is accessible to individuals with disabilities and/or for persons with Limited English Proficiency. The purpose of the public hearing is to provide interested citizens an opportunity to offer comments on the proposed contract modifications for Indiana County “on behalf of” Indiana Borough’s 2016 and 2017 Community Development Block Grant Entitlement Program. The proposed modifications will eliminate the First Street Retention Pond Improvements Project that is currently funded for $66,000.00 in the 2016 CDBG contract and $86,500.00 of 2017 CDBG contract funds. The modification will re-allocate the same amounts to the S. 15th Street Storm Sewer Replacement Project.
If the County of Indiana “OBO” Indiana Borough would undertake activities that result in the displacement of families or individuals, then the County’s policy for minimizing such displacement would be in effect. The County of Indiana is responsible for replacing all low and moderate housing units that may be demolished or converted as a result of the use of CDBG funds. No displacement of residents or demolition of housing units is proposed.

All interested citizens are encouraged to attend and will be offered the opportunity to give oral testimony at the public hearing and/or to present written comments concerning the proposed CDBG modifications. If you are unable to attend the scheduled virtual public hearing you can submit written comments to LuAnn Zak at the Indiana County Office of Planning and Development, 801 Water Street – Courthouse Annex, Indiana, PA 15701 or by email to email@example.com. All comments need to be submitted and received by the Office of Planning and Development by 10:00 AM on December 1, 2020 to ensure placement of such comments in the official public hearing record.
