It's construction season - here's a list of potential construction projects for the month of June so that you can plan ahead!

Week of June 23, 2025

June 23, 2025:

• Donegal Construction Corporation will be milling at the following locations in preparation for the 2025 Borough paving project:

  • Nixon Avenue between N. 14th and N. 12th Streets

  • Nixon Avenue between White and N. Rex Avenues

  • Nixon Avenue between N. Rex and N. Wine Avenues

  • N. Wine Avenue between Philadelphia and Water Streets

  • N. 15th Street between Philadelphia and Water Streets

  • N. Rex Avenue between Philadelphia and Water Streets

  • N. 16th Street between Philadelphia and Water Streets

  • White Avenue between Philadelphia and Water Streets

June 24, 2025:

• Sheffler and Company will be surveying multiple sites throughout the Borough for construction of ADA ramps, sidewalks, and setting right-of-way.

• Shadco, Inc., will be completing work on Klondyke Avenue between S. 7th and 8th Streets

• Lindy Paving and Swank Construction will be completing work at the following locations (2 months):

  • Water Street between N. 13th and N. 11th Street

  • N. 12th Street between Water Street and Nixon Avenue

  • Philadelphia and N. 12th Streets

  • Philadelphia Street and Station Avenue

June 25, 2025:

• Shadco, Inc., will be completing work at the following locations (2 weeks):

  • S. Carpenter Avenue between Washington and School Streets

  • Washington between S. Carpenter Avenue and S. 7th Street

• Pa American Water will be completing work at the following locations:

  • The intersection of Oak Street and Station Avenue

  • The intersection of Church and S. 6th Streets

  • Oak Street between N. 5th Street and N. Coulter Avenue

  • Washington Street between S. 3rd and Walnut Streets

• Creo Green Energy, LLC., (for Peoples Natural Gas) will be completing work at the following locations:

  • N. Coulter Avenue between Oak Street and Burns Avenue

  • The intersection of Church and S. 3rd Streets

• Five R. Excavating, Inc., will be completing work at IUP on Oakland Avenue (4-5 months)

• Lindy Paving and Swank Construction will be completing work at the following locations (2 months):

  • Church Street between S. 15th Street and S. Wine Avenue

  • S. 15th Street between Church and School Streets

  • The intersection of Klondyke Avenue S. 15th Street

June 16, 2025:

• Indiana Borough will be planting trees on Philadelphia Street between Taylor Avenue and 6th Street

• Creo Green Energy, LLC., (for Peoples Natural Gas) will be completing work on Oak Street between N. 5th and N. 4th Streets (1 month)

• Pa American Water will be completing work near the intersection of S. 7th and School Streets

June 17, 2025:

• Gulisek Construction (for Peoples Natural Gas) will be completing work at the following locations (1 week):

  • S. 10th Street between School Street and Daman Avenue

  • Washington Street between S. 11th Street and Oakland Avenue

  • Washington Street between S. Paper Mill Avenue and S. 11th Street

June 20, 2025:

• Lindy Paving (for Peoples Natural Gas) will be completing work at the following locations (2 months):

  • Locust Street between Garman and Wayne Avenues

  • Wayne Avenue between Locust and Lowry Streets

  • S. 7th Street between Locust Street and South Avenue

• Lindy Paving (for Peoples Gas) will be restoring streets at the following locations (2 months):

  • Locust Street between Garman and Wayne Avenues

  • Wayne Avenue between Locust and Lowry Streets

  • S. 7th Streets between Locust Street and South Avenue

  • Grant Street between Fleming and Garman Avenues

• Indiana Borough Public Works will be repairing a sink hole near South Street and West Avenue (1-2 weeks)

• Ligonier Construction will be completing work on IUP’s campus at Garman Avenue between Maple and Grant Streets (3 months)

• Peoples Natural Gas will be completing work on S. 7th Street between Klondyke Avenue and School Street

June 10, 2025:

• D Cole Contractors (for Peoples Natural Gas) will be completing work at the following locations (2 months):

  • Water Street between N. 13th Street and Station Avenue

  • Water Street between N. 11th Street and Station Avenue

  • N. 12th Street between Water Street and Nixon Avenue

  • Near the intersection of S. 12th and Philadelphia Streets

  • Near the intersection of Philadelphia Street and Station Avenue

June 12, 2025:

• Peoples Natural Gas will be completing work near Locust Street and Garman Avenue, and Locust Street and Wayne Avenue

June 13, 2025:

• Peoples Natural Gas will be completing work at the following locations:

  • S. 15th Street and Klondyke Avenue

  • Wayne Avenue and Lowry Street

  • Wayne Avenue and Grant Street

  • Wayne Avenue and Violi Way

June 3, 2025:

• Indiana Borough Public Works will be repairing a sink hole at the entrance to St. Bernards (1 week)

• Holbein, Inc., (for Peoples Natural Gas) will be completing work at the intersection of Water Street and Tayler Avenue (1 month)

• Peoples Natural Gas will be completing work on S. 12th Street between Gompers Avenue and Church Street

June 4, 2025:

• Lindy Paving and Swank Construction Company (for Peoples Natural Gas) will be completing work at the following locations (2 months):

  • N. 12th Street between Water Street and Nixon Avenue

  • Near the intersection of Philadelphia and N. 12th Streets

  • Near the intersection of Philadelphia Street and Station Avenue
