Here's a list of potential construction projects for the month of May so that you can plan ahead!

Week of May 26, 2025:

May 27, 2025:

• Pa American Water will be completing work on Water Street between Station Avenue and N. 12th Street

May 29, 2025:

• Lindy Paving and Swank Construction (for Peoples Gas) will be restoring streets at the following locations:

  • Locust Street between Garman and Wayne Avenues

  • Wayne Avenue between Locust and Lowry Streets

  • S. 7th Street between Locust Street and South Avenue

  • Grant Street between Fleming and Garman Avenues

• Pa American Water will be completing work at the following locations (1 day):

  • Clark Street between N. 5th Street and N. Taylor Avenue

  • The intersection of N. 5th and Water Streets

May 30, 2025:

• Earthcraft will be completing work on Locust Street between 3rd and 4th Streets.

  
  

Week of May 19, 2025:

May 19, 2025:

• Lugaila Mechanical, Inc., will be completing work on IUP’s campus. Construction will occur on Pratt Drive near the intersection of Maple and S. 11th Streets.

• Shadco, Inc., will be completing work at the following locations:

  • The intersection of South and S. 7th Streets (2 weeks)

  • S. 7th Street between South and Washington Streets (3 weeks)

• Peoples Gas will be completing work on School Street between Papermill and Fisher Avenues (3 days)

• Pa American Water will be completing work on Grant Street between S. 5th and S. 6th Streets

May 20, 2025:

• Pa American Water will be completing work on Church Street between S. Wherle Way and S. Taylor Avenue

• HRI, Inc., (for PennDot) will be removing and replacing sidewalks on Carter Avenue between S. 7th Street and Wayne Avenue (1 month)

• Gulisek (for Peoples Gas) will be restoring sidewalks, curbs, driveways and ADA ramps at the following locations (2 weeks):

  • S. 15th Street between School and Church Streets

  • Church Street between S. 15th Street and S. Wine Avenue

    
    

May 22, 2025:

• Peoples Gas will be completing work at the following locations:

  • Water Street, Oak Street, Nixon Avenue between N. 4th and N. 2nd Streets

  • Pratt Drive between Maple and W. Glass Streets

• Shadco, Inc., will be completing work on S. 7th Street between Washington and School Street (2 weeks)

• Marlin Thomas and Son Excavating will be completing work on IUP’s campus on Pratt Drive between W. Maple and S. 11th Streets (Eberly College and Stephenson Hall) (3 weeks)

Week of May 12, 2025:

May 13, 2025:

• Pa American Water will be completing work on Williams Street between N. 3rd Street and Old Route 119 Hwy. N.

• Penn Fencing, Inc., will be completing work on School Street between Easy Avenue and S. 2nd Street

May 14, 2025:

• Gulisek (for People’s Gas) will be restoring sidewalks, curbs, driveways and ADA ramps at the following locations (2 weeks):

  • Wayne Avenue between Lowry and Grant Streets

  • Wayne Avenue between Violi Way and Grant Street

  • Wayne Avenue between Violi Way and Locust Street

  • Locust Street between Garman and Wayne Avenues

  • Grant Street between Garman and Wayne Avenues

  • Church Street between S. 15th Street and Wine Avenue (2 months)

  • S. 15th Street between Church and School Streets (2 months)

  • The intersection of Klondyke Avenue and S. 15th Street (2 months)

• Penn Fencing, Inc., will be completing work on School Street between Cherry Avenue and Church Street

May 15, 2025:

• Gulisek (for People’s Gas) will be restoring ADA ramps at the following locations (2 weeks):

  • Water Street between N. 7th and N. 8th Streets

  • N. Carpenter Avenue between Philadelphia Street and Nixon Avenue

  • Philadelphia Street between S. 7th and S. 8th Streets

• Kuntz Property Management will be completing work on Gompers Avenue between S. 7th Street and S. Carpenter Avenue (2 days)

• Earth Craft will be completing work at St. Thomas More Church (2 weeks)

May 16, 2025:

• Leonard S. Fiore, Inc., will be completing excavation work on the IUP campus at Weyandt Hall, Walsh Hall, and Kopchick Hall (6 months)

• Lindy Paving and Swank Construction (for Peoples Gas) will be restoring streets at the following locations (2 months):

  • Locust Street between Garman and Wayne Avenue

  • Wayne Avenue between Locust and Lowry Streets

  • S. 7th Street between Locust Street and South Avenue

  • Grant Street between Fleming and Garman Avenue

Week of May 5, 2025:

May 8, 2025:

• Creo Green Energy, LLC., (for People’s Gas) will be completing work on Water Street between N. 12th and N. 11th Streets

• R L Spearman will be completing work near the intersection of 5th Street and Stannard Avenue

• Day Services, LLC., will be completing work on Townview Drive between Vista Drive and Washington Street

• Ray Winters & Sons will be completing work near the intersection of N. 4th Street and Queen Lane (2 weeks)

May 9, 2025:

• Gulisek (for People’s Gas) will be restoring ADA ramps at the following locations (2 weeks):

  • S. 6th Street between School and Washington Streets

  • S. 6th Street between Poplar and Washington Streets

  • S. 5th Street between School and Washington Streets

  • S. 4th Street between Poplar and Washington Streets
