Grant Street Bridge Repair project slated to kickoff on March 30, 2026.

PennDot has announced a tentative start for the Grant Street Bridge Repair project. The project is anticipated to begin on March 30th, 2026. It will take roughly a month to complete. During construction, Grant Street will be closed from S. 6th Street to Maryland Way. TO bypass Grant Street, motorists can use School Street or Carter Avenue from South Sixth Street to South Seventh Street. Note: this is project is not being completed by the Indiana Borough Public Works Department.

Future Bridge Construction
Indiana Borough has been awarded DCED Multimodal Transportation Funding to address repairs for the following five (5) bridges:
Bridge #1: Maple Street over Marsh Run
Bridge #2: Locust Street over Marsh Run
Bridge #3: 4th and Church Street over Marsh Run
Bridge #4: School Steet over Marsh Run
Bridge #5: 7th Street over Marsh Run
Note: this is an Indiana Borough project.

Construction is anticipated to begin on these structures in summer 2026. We will update residents as construction timelines become available.
