Indiana Borough is seeking to fill two vacancies on the Zoning Hearing Board.
The primary purpose of the Zoning Hearing Board is to help assure fair and equitable application and administration of the Zoning Ordinance.
One position is for a full member to serve until the end of 2027, the other is an alternate position with a term limit that expires at the end of 2023.
The Board meets on an as-needed basis and is responsible for hearing and deciding appeals on specific types of land use appeals and application, determining special exceptions, and authorizing variances from the terms of the Zoning Ordinance – as is permitted by the Municipalities Planning Code (MPC).
Any Borough resident interested in serving on the Zoning Hearing Board is encouraged to apply. The application form can be filled out electronically and submitted via email to contact-us@indianaboro.com.
