Our Wastewater Treatment Plant is currently taking part in an ongoing national surveillance program funded by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
This is a result from our partnership with Biobot Analytics to monitor wastewater for COVID-19. Due to this new development, we actually have two reports to share this week!
First, no detection was reported in the sampling taken on 6/21. However, a slight increase in COVID-19 RNA levels did occur in the 6/23 sampling.
The good news is the viral copies per liter reported on 6/23 was just barely above the detection limit of the testing, indicating the increase was minor.
