Last month, the PUC approved Indiana Borough’s request to increase the residential sewage treatment rate. This revision will take effect today, February 1st, 2019. Monthly billing will increase from $12.57 to $15.95.

The last rate increase was in 2002. Since then, over $19 million dollars in capital improvements to the treatment plant have been made. This new rate will assist us in continuing to provide safe and reliable service to the nearly 4,000 customers serviced in Indiana Borough and White Township, while also remaining one of the most competitive rates in the region.
