Three talented individuals have been brought on to Indiana Borough this past week. Two are new Planning & Zoning Officials, while the other is our new Parking Coordinator.
Stephanie Walters, a 2017 IUP graduate, has a B.S. in Regional Planning with a background in Environmental Planning and Sustainability. Before starting her new position, Stephanie worked for engineering firm Stiffler McGraw for two years as a Planner. She is looking forward to helping tackle stormwater issues in the Borough, as well as helping to implement the multimodal corridor project coming later this year.
Nicholas Zimny-Shea, an Indiana Borough native, is also a fellow IUP graduate. Nicholas received his M.S. in Geography, Regional Planning in 2018 and is a member of the Indiana County Sustainable Economic Development Task Force’s renewable energy focus group. He is looking forward to developing and obtaining funding for programs that address our water and energy sectors.
Benjamin Miller, our new Parking Coordinator, has a B.S. from Full Sail University and was certified as a Parking Professional by the National Parking Association in 2017. Ben has six years of parking management experience from his previous position with Alco Parking in Pittsburgh. He looks forward to updating our parking systems in the Borough, increasing Parking Garage utilization, and helping to develop a better parking experience for employers, residents, and vendors.
Welcome aboard!
