The Public Works department was out yesterday on the 1200 block of School Street planting trees along the street. The two species being planted are Persian Parrotia and Swamp Oak. Both species require little maintenance, and should not grow to a height that interferes with power lines above. Indiana Borough has proudly been designated as a Tree City USA community for the past 10 years, and projects like this are accomplished through our Shade Tree Commission.
