AD: Ordinance Regarding COVID-19

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF INDIANA, INDIANA COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, ON MATTERS OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, PROVIDING FOR CIVIL PENALTIES AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE AND REPEAL.

This ordinance requires that facial coverings must be worn by Borough residents, persons visiting and working in the Borough consistent with the order of the Pennsylvania Secretary of the Department of Health, subject to civil fines to be issued by the code enforcement personnel, or other employees hired by the Borough to perform education and enforcement activities under the ordinance. The ordinance sunsets on December 31, 2020, or when the Secretary of the Department of Health rescinds the mandatory facial covering order, whichever occurs sooner.


The Borough Council will consider adoption of this Ordinance at a meeting to be held by remote teleconference on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. The entire ordinance can be reviewed at the Borough Offices by appointment during regular business hours or at the link below.
