- 01A person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the 3rd degree if he/she represents himself to be 21 years of age to a licensed dispenser of alcohol. A person is guilty of a summary offense if he is younger than 21 and tries to purchase, consume, or transport any alcohol. 
- 02There is a 24 hour a day restriction on any noise that can be heard 50 feet from its origination. 
- 03They are considered vehicles in PA so follow the same laws as cars. They cannot be ridden on the sidewalks. Night riding requires a light that can be seen from 500 feet and a red rear reflector. 
- 04Actions such as unseemly noise, indecent language, public urination, damaging public or private property, and prowling may carry fines. Serious cases can be prosecuted as misdemeanors. 
- 05Fireworks cannot be used in the borough. 
- 06All garbage and recycling must be placed in the proper containers and kept at the rear of the property. Garbage and recycling may be be placed at the curbside no earlier than 6:00 pm the day before pick-up, and empty containers must be removed by 11:00 pm the day of pickup. - 07For properties off-campus, the occupants are responsible for cutting the grass and clearing the sidewalk. Grass that is higher than 6.0 inches is in violation, and snow/ice on sidewalks must be maintained free of hazardous conditions at all times. 
- 08Cannot be placed outside for use as outdoor furniture. 
- 09Dogs must be on a leash at all times while on others’ property in the borough. All defecation must be cleaned up from public and private property. 
- 10Indiana Borough reserves the right to inspect any non owner-occupied property between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. 
- 11If offenses continue at the same location requiring an excess of police and/or code enforcement services, the property is considered a nuisance property. The host must pay the costs and fines for the first and second offense occurring within 6 months of the second one, the host and/or owner can be assessed the costs of the services and fines. 
- 12Rollerblading or skateboarding is not allowed on Philadelphia Street between 5th and 9th streets. Elsewhere, use the sidewalk yielding to pedestrians. 
- 13It is unlawful to deface or steal signs. 
- 14It is unlawful to modify, deface or steal signs. 
- 15Parking over the sidewalk is illegal if blocking the sidewalk. Parking on the grass is prohibited except by permit from the borough office. Parking with the left wheel on the curb or against the flow of traffic is illegal. In private lots, it is the civil right of the lot owner to tow any illegally parked vehicle parked in their lot. Two unpaid parking violations can lead to the possibility of your vehicle being “booted.” A permit for your car is needed to park on the signed streets of Indiana Borough.
