Ordinance: Chapter 400


Borough Council will consider adoption of an Ordinance amending the code of ordinances, specifically Chapter 400, streets and sidewalks, article II, openings and excavations adding new section 400.20.1(A) to require repaving of the street and providing severance and repeal.


This ordinance requires any person or entity performing construction or excavation activities on Borough roads to pave said roads from the center line to the curb under certain enumerated circumstances. This amendment is intended to protect the Borough taxpayers and residents from unnecessary damage and repairs to the Borough streets caused by entities who have utilities or services within the Borough rights of way.


Borough Council will consider adoption of this Ordinance at a meeting to be held by remote teleconference on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. The entire ordinance can be reviewed at the Borough Offices by appointment during regular business hours or online at www.indianaboro.com.
