Patrol Division

Sgt. William C. Vojtek supervises the Patrol Division.  A corporal who reports directly to Sgt. Vojtek supervises each patrol shift.  The Patrol division is the uniformed division of the police department.  This division is the largest unit in the department and is responsible for the highest number of police/citizen contacts.  Patrol Officers provide patrol coverage for Indiana Borough 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  Our patrol officers are responsible for initial crime reports, traffic enforcement, accident investigation and community service details as well as other duties as assigned by the Chief of Police.

Many of Indiana Borough’s patrol officers also serve as special county detectives for the Indiana County Drug Task Force.  Most patrol officers receive specialized training in areas of traffic enforcement, vehicle equipment standards, and drug identification.
