 Employment Opportunities  

The Indiana Borough Police Department is a civil service department.  The Indiana Borough Police Civil Service Commission governs the hiring process. Applications for employment are available year round at the police department or my mail upon request.  Civil Service Testing is conducted annually with the cut off date for the annual exam being April 15th of each year.  All applicants received prior to April 15th will be notified in writing of the date, time and location of the civil service exam.

 Interested applicants must be 21 years of age or older and posses a minimum of 60 credits from an accredited college or university and be capable of completing the Pennsylvania Act 120 Municipal Police Academy.  All applicants must successfully complete a physical agility test, written exam and oral interview.  Applicants considered for employment will be subject to a physical and psychological examination as well as an extensive background investigation.
