Detective Sergeant Anthony J. Clement supervises the Criminal Investigation Division, or Detective Unit of the Police Department.  The Criminal Investigation Division is responsible for investigating all major crimes in Indiana Borough as well as specializing in Computer Crime, arson, identity theft, and illegal drugs.  Detectives receive specialized training in interviewing and interrogation, evidence collection, and narcotics.  The CID unit is also responsible for collecting, securing, and transporting evidence, administers the department computerized automated systems. Its members serve as Special County Detectives for the Indiana County Drug Task Force, and also utilized their specialized training to work closely with other municipal police agencies as well as the Pennsylvania State Police, IUP Campus Police, and Indiana County Detective Bureau.
